Brownie came to the shelter on 11/11/13. Someone had put him in our outdoor play area for the dogs. He was hiding in a dog house, he was afraid to the point of shaking. This poor boy was abandoned by his owner in the worst way. Thank goodness he was found before a dog went outside to play! He is a magnificent, large cat. He came to us front declawed. We estimated his age to be around 4 years or a bit more. He is currently wandering in one of the free roaming rooms with several other cats and gets along fine. He will lay belly up as to beg for a belly rub. He really does not want one, he just wants to grab you when you try! We guess it is part of some game he used to play. We gave him his booster, worming, Rabies vaccine, fecal test neg, treated for fleas, fleuk/fiv neg, treated for ear mites & is neutered. Brownie is a wonderful cat. He is social with other cats. He may not do the best in a home with dogs. He weighs roughly 10.5 pounds. Hours are Tues Sat from 12-3. You must be 21 or older to adopt a pet from this shelter and supply a good vet reference. We accept cash, personal check with proper ID and can use paypal for credit cards.
