Duke sure did not have the best of homes. This older boy has been an outside dog all his life. Guess they felt guilty & got him a female so he would not get lonely, she too was made to live outside. Duke was neutered but that was about the extent of his vet care. He is HEART WORM POS & will start his treatment very soon. How unfortunate this boy had lack of companionship & lack basic needs met. He is very sweet & does well with his gal pal named Molly, but may not be real receptive of other dogs. He has never been exposed to cats. He is not house trained,lived outside all his life. His problem will be finding a Saint that will spend the needed training to make him actually a part of the family & not just something you feed in the backyard. He is 7 years old and still willing to learn new things. We do not adopt outside dogs, backyard dogs, kenneled dogs & chained dogs. It is hard to adopt out a dog that has not been leash trained or lack of basic commands, not house trained or properly socialized. Why in the heck do these people get a dog??? Please help Duke out through adoption, or just come to the shelter and walk him & teach him a few things to aid him in finding a new home.
